Tengo el inmenso privilegio de formar parte del equipo de trabajo que nos citaremos en Dijon entre el 10 y el 12 de diciembre para asistir al I Congreso Internacional de Investigación en Rock Progresivo. El congreso está organizado por Philippe Gonin y François Ribac, de la Universite de Bourgogne. Seguro que los amantes de Magma conocen bien a Gonin por su libro Magma, Décryptage d'un mythe et d'une musique. Yo iré allí a presentar mi tesis doctoral en una comunicación y aprovecharé para hacer un primer acercamiento crítico al rock progresivo español.

El grupo de investigadores es bastante nutrido e interesante, con varios especialistas reconocidos y un montón de temas a tratar. Uno de sus grandes instigadores fue Allan Moore (http://www.allanfmoore.org.uk/), un importante referente académico con quien tuve la inmensa fortuna de trabajar en la Universidad de Surrey durante unos meses.

En 12 días tendrá lugar el II Congreso Internacional de Investigación en Rock Progresivo (https://sites.eca.ed.ac.uk/theprogectconference/), organizado por el grupo de trabajo académico The Progect, y que nos lleva en este caso a la Universidad de Edimburgo. El congreso tendrá lugar del 25 al 27 de mayo. Yo estaré en la presentación oficial del libro Prog rock in Europe: overview of a persistent musical style (http://eud.u-bourgogne.fr/arts-et-histoire-de-l-art/492-prog-rock-in-europe-9782364411753.html), que se acaba de editar este año y en el que participamos 24 autores.

También se proyectará The gold diggers, dirigida en 1983 por Sally Potter (hermana del bajista Nic Potter, que estuvo en Van der Graaf Generator), con música de Lindsay Cooper.
