Por cierto. En el Tour Book Elements of King Crimson 2016, que espero poder comprar en los recitales, se incluye un versión instrumental de "Moonchild" grabada en los ensayos de 2016.
¿Os cuadra? A mi me emociona saberlo.

Lo que se argumentó en su día es que Belew es insustituible, cosa con la que estoy de acuerdo.
Lo que sucede, además, es que la mayor parte de la producción de los años ochenta no "encaja" con la estética del septeto. Aunque creo que "Neurotica" si se revierte al instrumental original, "Manhattan", sí podría tener cabida. Pero poco más, piezas como "Indiscipline" son imposibles de ejecutar sin él.

Evidentemente, Indiscipline no, pero yo si creo que hay temas que podrían haberse repescado, convertido en instrumentales o readaptado del mismo modo que se ha hecho con algún otro.
Discipline (el tema), The sheltering Sky, Sartori in Tanger o, sobre todo, Industry, cuya ejercicio "percusivo", bien podría haber servido para desarrollar en este formato de tres baterías, podrían haberse incluido perfectamente.
Cualquiera de ellas me pega mucho más, desde luego que In the court of the crimson King, que llevaron en la gira anterior o, incluso, que ese Moonchild que mencionas como "posible" incorporación.
y es que esa vena más "melódica", más lírica si se quiere, tiene poca cabida en este formato que funciona como un tanque.... por aplastamiento.
Hay temas como 21th century squizoid man que se potencian maravillosamente con este formato, mientras que otros quedan como excesivamente encorsetados.

Yo no hablo de su posible incorporación, sólo de que se ha ensayado. De todas forma veo cómo podría encajar.
